The number of businesses aided by the Greater Birmingham and
Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) Growth Hub, partly operated by
Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC), has reached the 1,000
Funded by the European Regional Development Fund, the
Hub is a single point of contact for support, signposting and funding
opportunities across Birmingham, Solihull and South Staffordshire.
Russell Jeans, chief operating officer at the GBCC, said:
"We have achieved the 1,000 milestone in relatively short time and we are well
on our way to exceeding our target of providing intensive support to over 1,200
businesses by September, 2019.”

The 1,000 milestone has been reached after the GBCC and its
key partners Birmingham City University and Aston University came together to
deliver this prestigious contract on behalf of GBSLEP.
The Growth Hub acts as the focal point for businesses that
wish to grow, providing co-ordinated and cohesive growth programmes, business
networks, growth groups and links to specialist information, advice and
The Hub will continue to focus on the delivery of access to
finance, resource efficiency, innovation, mentoring, growth coaching ,
manufacturing advice , start up support and export advice.
