The Growth Hub has helped a wide variety of businesses in the Greater Birmingham and Solihull region through business support, funding and advice. Read how the Growth Hub has helped Fahima Jilani and her start-up company, Mosamosa through the funded project Enterprise for Success.
Fahima started her own Asian fusion food business called Mosamosa in June 2017. She began trading at Worcester markets before moving onto Kings Heath monthly street food market at Kings Heath Village Square.
As a start-up business, Fahima had many challenges faced as many new businesses have, from writing a business plan, organising cashflow, pricing, marketing and much more.
How the Growth Hub helped
The Growth Hub put Fahima in contact with Enterprise for Success who paired her up with a business mentor to guide her through any questions she had about setting up a business. Fahima also participated in a 2 day masterclass workshop giving her the knowledge needed to set up and run a business.
With the support of Enterprise for Success, Fahima was able to get funding through Worcester Council to help her kickstart her business:
"The results of the Growth Hub programme was I got my funding accepted, that was £500 match funded.” Fahima Jilani, owner of Mosamosa
Fahima also attended networking events, which enabled her to connect with local businesses and has ongoing support and business advice from her mentor to help her continue growing her business.
