UK Immigration Ltd targets growth with GBSLEP Skills Service
Wednesday 10th May
UK Immigration works to be different from other law firms. They create a friendly environment to support their clients to feel comfortable with consideration around the sensitivity that immigration cases require. UK Immigration offer their services in several community languages to ensure their clients fully understand the process they are going through.
With her growing and diverse client base, Gurpreet wants to serve her local community with affordable and genuine advice and identified some key challenges that need to be addressed to allow her to implement her growth plan.
To focus on her expansion plans, Gurpreet is aware she needs to increase the skills in her business. She contacted GBSLEP Skills Service to discuss skills support that is currently available in the region. The Skills Service team worked with Gurpreet to better understand her challenges and the skills solutions available.
Gurpreet was interested bringing new people into her businesses to bring in some of those skills to then enhance their abilities through training, both inhouse and on the job.
During her review, Gurpreet confirmed that this strategy has worked well with the staff that she has recruited and she will continue on this strategy. She acknowledges that her continued growth may require a change in business structure but that is something she will keep under advisement and develop as needed.
Jaspreet Randhawa has been working for UK Immigration, undertaking tasks such as telemarketing, drafting invoices, letter to clients, supporting business growth, and research for client cases. Jaspreet said that she’s seen the business go from strength to strength during her time there.
Chantelle Brown has also been taken on through Gurpreet’s recruitment drive. A recent hire, Chantelle has been learning about the different services offered by UK Immigration. She’s undertaken training in how to approach a Sponsor License application, alongside general administrative tasks. Chantelle would recommend the pathway that she is currently on, it has given her experience in what it takes to become a solicitor in immigration.
